Clubhouse. Come on In!

How to Get Started and Make it Work for Your Modern Brand

I am obsessed with Clubhouse. Really. Obsessed.

I have always tended to be an early adopter, but this app hit differently. I am sure everyone has heard about (and is tired of hearing about) the invitation-only social media site. And, I am sure the blowback on the hype will start in 1, 2, 3 …

BUT for everyone who is building or has a modern brand. Clubhouse is different – very different. And you need to get in.

The audio-only app allows users to have direct conversations with other users and form communities around topics that interest them. From beauty to brand building to brunch, there is literally a room on the app for everyone.

Why is Clubhouse participation key to building a modern brand? Simple, the social media platform is modern networking, business development, and skills enhancement … amplified.

A quick primer. Unlike a majority of business social media platforms, Clubhouse allows users to have direct access to the smart thinkers and business drivers they care about. The platform is structured around “rooms” that allow people to engage, learn, and share ideas with one another. Participants “raise a hand” to talk. The flow of the conversation is moderated by the room’s host. In any given room, you will find a wide swath of business leaders, brand gurus, consultants, influencers and everyone in between that you can learn from and engage with to  grow your skills and business profile.

Another key differentiator Clubhouse has is that users aren’t judged on the number of posts they put up or the number of followers they have. You are the driver of what your brand gets out of the experience. You can be a small business with big idea and share them with the world to connect with clients, consumers, and tastemakers.

And the biggest reason I think all modern brands need to be on Clubhouse is … when you use the app, you need to come with your game on and ready to be active in the chats, ask smart questions, and drive meaningful conversations. This is not your passive experience at all. Clubhouse give you direct access with trendsetters and business leaders to show your thinking, your smarts, and your creative business acumen.
